In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
